Cheating on my long run with tennis

by - Monday, July 06, 2009

I cheated on my long run this weekend with two days of tennis instead. Shame on me.

But I was able to convince the BF to play with me both Saturday and Sunday and I didn't want to miss the opportunity. Saturday we had tons of fun and I picked up a little bit of color thanks to being out in the sun for a few hours.

Sunday was a kind of overcast day and I just wasn't feeling it. All I wanted to do was curl up and take another nap. I had already taken one when I got home from church. I was seriously dragging all day.

I'm feeling much better today though and plan to get some make up miles in tonight after work. Not sure how far I'll go. I'll just play by it ear depending on how I feel.

BF's still having knee problems. He said it hurt him Friday after we spent a few hours walking around the mall, (we both found some sweet stuff in Express on sale!) but that it doesn't annoy him too much after tennis. Strange, right?

I'm thinking about giving him a copy of my physical therapy program to see if that helps at all. I'm just getting worried because the half is quickly approaching!

  1. O, so cheating on your runs is okay because it was "fun", huh?

    You WHOO-WER!

    O, sorry! You are a church-going girl, so ...

    You HARLOT!1!

Um ... how's the hawt roommate doing? What's her take on all this cheating? Pro? Con?

  2. Interesting that it didn't hurt him during tennis, but it does during running. Depending on where it hurts, it could be because of completely separate causes, and running could aggravate it, while the short bursts of sprinting on a tennis court may not.

  3. Tennis sounds fun. I cashed in a short run for an hour of Ultimate Frisbee... that was fun!

HOpe the BF's knee heals up fast. I don't have much advice, as it seems like I have one knee injury after another! LOL

I think cheating on your runs with another form of exercise is ok! Hope your BF's knee starts to feel better.

  7. Jess's hawt roommate would like everyone to know that cheating is NEVER ok.

    Unless Glaven is HAWT also.

Because then there could be an exception.
