A Hard Swim Workout and Foot Progress.

Just popping in for a quick update today.

I hit the pool for another great workout the other day. I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying being back in the water. Yes, I still miss running like crazy, but swimming can be really peaceful even when you're doing all out sprints. Something about plunging your head in the water and blocking out all the other sound around you is really nice and let's you get in the zone.

Anyway, I tackled a hard sprint workout with lots of fast sets.

Warm-up: 400 yards

Main Set: 2 x 200 on 4 minutes

50 easy

4 x 100 on 2 minutes

50 easy

4 x 50 on 1 minute

Warm down: 100 easy

Total: 1600 yards

And in really good news, I think I'm finally starting to see some improvements with my foot. I don't know if it's the bone stimulator or being back in the boot that's helping, but my foot is a million times less sore at the end of the day, and I'm able to walk around my apartment barefoot without any pain anymore, which  makes me think I'm on the mend.

The one upside to wearing a boot? At least everyone on Metro is nice to you.
Fingers crossed I'll only be in the boot for another week or so and that I'll be back to running by the end of the month. I'm cautiously optimistic that it could happen!
