Currently in November

We're officially a week in to November and it's time for the latest edition of Currently hosted by Anne!

Untitled

appreciating: Being back to my regular job full time. I spent October on a part-time detail to another agency in DC. I was at the other agency three days per week and at my regular job two days per week. The mental shift of going back and forth between the two was really tough by the end. I'm glad to be able to focus on just one job again.

researching: Wedding stuff. All the big stuff is done, but there are still little things we need to do, like deciding on suits for the guys and figuring out which wedding bands we want. Oh and perhaps most importantly, I'm researching where we should go on our honeymoon. If you've got suggestions, leave them in the comments!

posting: More on GoodReads. My "Want To Read" list is getting a little out of control, but it's really helpful to have when I'm at the library trying to figure out what book I want to grab.

getting: Comfortable with my new running routine. My hip has been surprisingly cooperative as of late, and I'm getting in to a good groove with regular runs and gradually increasing my distances.

cooking: All of the crockpot things with butternut squash. I've made butternut squash curry, butternut squash soup, butternut squash chili. You get the idea.

  1. Hi there! I found you from In Residence. Talk about Goodreads!! My TBR is over-flowing! I'll probably drown in the pile. I'm a book blogger, so that is to be expected though. HAHA. Congrats on your engagement and best wishes for the wedding!

  2. Yay for slowly and successfully increasing distances! I've been trying to do the same with hip/knee ailments, and so far so good, which is great because fall running is my favorite. And my honeymoon advice is always to go all-inclusive... it's super nice to not have to stress about anything after the busyness of a wedding, including just being able to pay for the whole trip up-front and not stress about any costs/feel like you're spending money all the time once you're there!

  4. I love Goodreads, though I try to regularly go through and get rid of books so it's not TOO overwhelming. It's still a lot though. LOL Oh well, I'll always have an idea of something to read, right?
