I've completed 10 half marathons, two full marathons and several other race distances. I'm not fast and I'll certainly never win any races, but I love running because crossing the finish line makes me feel like I accomplished something.

Aside from running and healthy living, I'm a huge fan of the University of Maryland Terrapins. I graduated from UMD in December 2007 and still make it back to campus for several football and soccer games each season. Sometimes I even try to convince my friends to "health-ify" our tailgates. They aren't always on board, but I'm determined to convince them that veggies at a tailgate can taste just as good as burgers and beer.

In my day job, I work as a social media strategist for a government agency. Basically that just means blogging, Facebook and Twitter are a huge part of my full-time job. Overall, I'm all about having fun and enjoying life while still being healthy. Health and fitness shouldn't be a chore, it should fit naturally into our daily lives.
