Yesterday you might have thought the big showdown between the Democrats and Republicans came over the ruling in the Obamacare case.
But really I think our elected officials were saving it for the field.
Each year the Democrats and Republicans get together for a night of charity baseball.
I headed over to the Nationals stadium with some friends to catch the action.
We had seats right behind home plate and the night was eventful to say the least.
We literally brushed shoulders with Ron Paul, who threw out the first pitch,
saw Nancy Pelosi and John Boehner working the crowd
and watched the Democrats absolutely embarrass the Republicans in an 18-5 drubbing.
Oh and the best part of the night might have been watching Rep. Cedric Richmond, one of the guys on my softball team, nearly hit one out of the park during his at bat.
His sweet baseball skills will probably come in handy during the rest of softball season.
