So for cross-training today I found this cute little boot camp-like workout in a magazine and thought, what the heck I'll give it a try. It's something different. And surprisingly it turned out to be a lot of fun. I kind of felt like a little kid in gym class. It was a mix of all kinds of calisthetics (that's probably spelled horribly wrong...sorry) -- lots of jumping jacks and moutain climbers and high knees. (So much for giving my legs a break on cross training days) But it was fun. It might have been more fun if I did it outside instead of in my basement, but I slept in today (twas a beautiful thing) and by the time I woke up it was about 90 degrees and way sunny, so that wasn't happening.

And best of all, all the jumping and high impact stuff didn't really bother my knees and my calves didn't tense up too bad. Maybe all the extra stretching I've been doing has actually been helping out. So I'm feeling pretty good right about now, and have a positive feeling about tomorrow's run.

Anyway, I'm off to two 4th of July parties (must remember to not eat too much dessert to avoid horrible crashes when coming down off sugar high....see post about brother's graduation party).

That's all for now! Hope everyone has a great 4th!
