Gracie's Gear Review

by - Thursday, April 02, 2009

I apologize in advance to my male readers. This post is all about boobs and sports bras. Oh, wait, that probably means you'll like it more (Yea I'm looking at you Glaven.)

You may have remembered that at the race expo for the National Half Marathon, I met Gracie from gracie's gear who very graciously gave me on of her sports bras to test out and review here.

Before I wrote the review I wanted to make sure that I had gotten in a few runs with it. Since I wore it on Tuesday night's group run as well as to teach yoga the other day and a few other things, I feel like I can review it fairly.

First thing's first. The color blue is awesome. It's got a pocket on the front that was big enough to fit my iPod nano and could be used to hold a house key or perhaps a small cell phone (though I didn't try that.)

I was a little nervous at first about putting my iPod on my chest because things tend to bounce a bit there and I wasn't sure how that would work. Turns out I didn't even know the iPod was there. Score one for the bra.

As far as fit, it comes up higher in the front than a few of my other sports bras, which was a plus for me being a bit more ummm well-endowed than other of my running friends.

I was borderline between a medium and large and I guessed medium because I wanted a snugger fit. I probably could have gone with the large and been OK too. If you're unsure, you can check Gracie's size chart.

Overall, the bra was comfortable, kept certain bounce-y parts in place and was awesome for holding my iPod. Thanks to Gracie for letting me do this test.

If you're interested, check out her site. She sells more than just sports bras.

I didn't end up going on tonight's group run at the running store. I was wiped out when I got home from work so I just made dinner and curled up in bed to catch up on Lost.

Jillian's 30 Day Shred came in the mail yesterday, so like the rest of blogland, I'll be working that into my routine soon.

  2. Thanks for the review! I might go check out her selection since my sweater puppies are getting a little too big for my present running bras!

  4. That bra sounds awesome! Is it strange that I usually tuck my iPod INTO my bra? (yes) Might have to check it out when I'm back in the States.

Interesting idea with the pocket in front. I think I'd be more likely to do something small like a key, but very cool!

Look all you want sister, I'll never notice, because I'm not looking at you. At least, not at your eyes.

    ZOMG!1! You're pneumatic, like Xenia! Teh Pneumatic Jess!1! Woo-hoo!

I don't like the fact that this bra kept your bouncy-bouncies from doing what God intended, viz.; Go Bouncy-Bouncy.

Plus, what's the deal with putting a iPod in the way of the ... um ... view? AND DON'T PUT A CELL PHONE IN THER, EITHER!1!

I am angry at your sports bra, sister! It owes me and all men an apology!
