Where did my weekend go?

Seriously, how is the weekend over already?

Maybe I'm just sad to see it go because it was such a perfect, awesome weekend. The weather was amazing from when I left worked Friday until I groggily rolled out of bed this morning.

Friday night I rolled the windows in my car all the way down and blasted some country tunes on my drive over to the BFs. I love love love driving with the windows down and the music blaring and it was the first time since last fall since I'd been able to.

Saturday morning was winnnndy and there were times during my eight-mile run when I felt like my legs were moving but I wasn't going anywhere or that I was getting blown side to side. Running in a straight line was nearly impossible.

But in really awesome news, I didn't tape my knee for the run and it didn't hurt at all during the eight miles! Whooo hooo!

That night BF and I went over to his friend's house for what was supposed to be a cook-out, but instead involved popping frozen pizzas in the oven. Worst excuse for a BBQ ever, but we still had a decent time.

Sunday I played mini-golf! I seriously love mini-golf. We used to go as a family a bunch when I was a little kid and then get ice cream afterward. I came in two under par for the course and had a hole-in-one! Haha go me!

No pictures from the weekend because my camera battery was dead.

In workout news, I think I'm going to try Shredding tonight for the first time.

  1. After reading about it on your blog and a few other people's, I decided to try the Shred. Did the first day this morning and OH MY -- not too sore but my legs are still shaky going down stairs! haha

  2. What's the difference between frozen pizza and BBQ amongst friends?

Note to self: Do NAWT play Jess in mini-golf ;-)

A good weekend! :) I'm with you on driving with the windows down and blasting the music. It makes it feel like summer - doesn't it? Bummer about the BBQ you went to! Frozen pizza? Really?
    Have a good week!

  12. I agree. This weekend went too quickly.

    The good ones always do.

I love when people talk about getting a hole-in-one on a mini golf course:

"The hole was all of 10 FEET AWAY and there was this gorilla trying to hit my ball away with his banana, but I got it in first try, anyway!"

    You go, girl-Tiger Woods!

You COULD have had a HORRIBLE weekend like Carolina Cletus who - WAHHHH!! - was forced to spend the weekend at a beautiful beachfront house in GA! And then cried about it on his blog.

    Tough f*ckin life!

  15. Shred away! I need to do that tonight too. Maybe while I watch UNC beat the crap out of Michigan State. Stupid basketball!

And enjoy driving with those windows down!
