Sick Day TV

How did people survive sick days before Netflix?

That's what I was asking myself yesterday as I did nothing but lay in bed with hot tea, bundled up in blankets and watched a million episodes of Once Upon a Time.

Once Upon a Time Post

My coworker has been trying to get me to watch this show since it premiered last year, and yesterday I figured out why.

The show is good. There's lots of mystery and intrigue, and each episode ends with some sort of question that makes you want to immediately jump to the next episode for the answer. Plus, I love the subtle Lost references thrown in there. (Both shows are produced by the same people.)

Not that I really need another show to add to my list, but I'm hooked on the modern take on traditional fairy tale stories and I love the characters and it looks like Once Upon a Time is going to become a more regular thing. I just need to finish up the first season on Netflix -- I'm already on episode 20 -- and then I can dive back in and watch season two in real time.

What TV shows are you hooked on this year? And what TV shows are you finally giving up on?

  1. I pretty much love that show =)

I finally gave up Gossip Girl and Glee last year...they just got so bad, I couldn't stand to watch either one any more! I'm sad, but relieved.

  2. I've been wanting to re-up my Netflix to catch up on some TV shows on channels I don't get, but alas I haven't. We are hooked on New Girl and Raising Hope, and currently rewatching Twin Peaks. I've also got Dr. Who DVR'd that I've yet to catch up on. Feel better. Cheers!

  3. I keep hearing about this show, and the references to Lost. I loved Lost, so I wonder if I should give this show a shot. I have such a long list of shows I watch it's crazy...especially given the fact that I now have a newborn at home. The DVR fills up might quick!
